about me

Hi I’m Tom, I’m a software developer from Germany and I’m queer! (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ

I got into programming in university and have been working in tech ever since. I’m basically paid to solve logic puzzles daily, so I can’t imagine a better profession.

I’m an app developer by trade and heart but as a software developer am able and ready to adapt to changes in the industry (and learn a web framework when CEOs forget why native development is better about once every five years).

I’m hard-working, motivated and reliable, opinionated and contrarian, a perfectionist and essentialist, sociable and a team player, and most of all, I’m humble.

about my skills

Professionally I do:

• iOS Apps using Swift in Xcode
  • I’m a huge SwiftUI stan
  • Sometimes I do MacOS Apps too
  • I have basic Objective-C knowledge but luckily haven’t had to work with that monstrosity in a while
• A REST-API Middleware using PHP in PhpStorm with Docker
  • I also use Postman for testing
• Continuous Integration via Bamboo using PHP and shell scripts
• Some Ruby (but like, at gunpoint)

For personal projects I do:

• Android Apps using Kotlin in Android Studio
• GraphQL APIs (against my will, no shade)
• Web Dev (so far only what you see right here)
• Shell scripting (with a lot of AI assist because that syntax wasn’t made for humans)

Nothing super special but I’m also proficient in JSON, YAML and XML. Oh and this page is written in Markdown.

Sometimes I use GIMP or Photoshop to edit memes or make Spotify playlist covers.

I want this page to be a little refuge from the dead-internet AI slop for other interested queer (and non-queer) devs (and non-devs). I want to provide a page by humans for humans to check whenever said humans are bored at work.

queercoded was made possible using:
